How can I book the house?
A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the stay is required to secure your booking. The remaining 50% must be paid 15 days before arrival at Casa Colibrí. Write to us to confirm availability , and we will send you an email with the private rental agreement, the terms and conditions, the deadlines, and the payment methods.
What payment methods do you accept?
By bank transfer.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you cancel at least one month in advance, we will refund the full amount of the booking. If you cancel between 30 and 15 days before your arrival, you will lose the amount of the booking. And if you cancel less than 15 days in advance, you will lose the total amount of the stay.
Is a security deposit required? How and when is it refunded?
Yes, you must pay a deposit of €300 along with the second payment for your stay. Once we have checked that the property is in good condition after you leave, we will refund your deposit by bank transfer within a maximum of 72 hours.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Casa Colibrí will be ready for your arrival from 3pm onwards. You can arrive from that time onwards until 9pm. Check-out time is 11am.
What is the maximum capacity of the house?
6 people and 1 baby.
Does the house have access for people with reduced mobility?
The house does not have access for people with reduced mobility.
Is there an Internet/WiFi connection?
Yes, the house has wifi.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed.
What appliances are included in the kitchen?
The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances.
Are bed linen and towels provided?
Yes, you will have the house prepared with bed linen and towels.
Is there a crib or high chair available?
Yes, you can order the travel crib, the high chair and the baby bathtub without any problem. This way you can travel lighter.
Is there an outdoor eating area?
The house has a covered porch, ideal for dining or relaxing outdoors.
What is the minimum stay?
In June and August the minimum stay is 7 nights. The rest of the year the house is available upon request, with a minimum of 2 nights. If you see a gap in the calendar, do not hesitate to contact us.
How many floors does the house have? Is the entire house for rent?
The house has two floors and is rented as a whole. The first floor is for private use, but you will have your own independent entrance and total privacy.
How do you get to the house?
- High speed train to Tanos (Torrelavega), about 4 hours from Madrid.
- Santander airport.
- Local cab service and possibility to rent a car in Torrelavega.
What is the distance to the nearest town or city with a supermarket?
Cabezón de la Sal is about 7 minutes away by car and has supermarkets such as Mercadona, Día and several local markets.
What activities are available in the area?
Are there any extra services offered during the stay?
For stays longer than one week, we offer free change of bed linen and towels upon request.
We can also help you with your arrival by preparing a mini grocery shopping or the first breakfast (additional charge).
Are there any special rules I should be aware of?
Apart from the restrictions already mentioned, there are no additional rules. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

- During high season (July and August), reservations are for a minimum of 7 nights.
- Check-in is from 4pm to 9pm and check-out is at 11am.
